About me and SimFit

Ciao! I'm Simona and I'm on a mission to support and inspire women to embrace a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. Health is not about deprivation, but about finding joy in every step of the journey. My philosophy centres on guiding you towards a healthier, more vibrant life without compromising on the pleasures of tasty, wholesome food.

My life Journey:

I grew up in a town in the south of Italy (Puglia) in the 80s and 90s with a very typical southern Italian lifestyle where the heart of life is family and food. This is combined with most of they days passed on the beach or enjoying the countryside.

Simple, healthy and happy or what we call it here in the "La Dolce Vita".

At age 19 I moved to Rome where I gained 1 Bachelor and 2 Master’s Degree in Social Psychology and then I moved to the UK to pursue my career in Business.

What I brought here with me is the passion for the good food which I love sharing.

In Italy I had always been active, walking a lot and practising acquafit twice a week. But I'd rarely been in the gym until I moved to the UK and then I got hooked!

Many health experts here in the UK talk about the Mediterranean diet as one of the best and healthiest diet on the planet! This is not just a diet - I'd like to add -  but a lifestyle where being active is part of what you naturally do and even are.

My passion for helping people by sharing knowledge in the field of health and fitness led me to qualify as personal trainer in 2019 and to create SimFit.

Why SimFit

Sim is obviously me while Fit stands for 

  • being fit
  • fitness knowledge
  • feeling fit - both mentally and physically 

Mental and Physical health are two faces of the same coin (hence my logo) and finding the right equilibrium between the two can take us to happiness and life fulfilment!

Through years of experience, I've come to understand that it's not about radical transformations, but about the power of consistent and small changes.

This is valid for Every Woman!

Willpower, as concept of delaying or resisting gratification, is a not an effective tool. It will not lead us to sustainable changes. The journey to become healthier and more active starts with your own personal reasons (your "why?") and your success comes from developing better habits.

Personal training classes are now online from the comfort of your own home and also in person if you live the the Maidenhead area (SL6, UK).
